GLCS...What We're All About
History
Gospel Light Christian School was founded 38 years ago with the sole purpose of educating students mentally and spiritually. When a parent showed Bro. Bobby a public school text book with curse words in it, his heart was immediately burdened. One year later, August 19, 1972, Gospel Light Christian School became an envisioned reality. The school began with only six grades, but soon grew to a full K3 thru twelfth grade.

History in the making...
Heritage
Why has Gospel Light Christian School stood the test of time? One of the main reasons is because its founder, Bro. Bobby Roberson, does not believe in compromising. For this reason, the high standards have remained throughout the years, and its students are always encouraged to do the same. Another reason is because of those who have dedicated their lives to educate students both academically and spiritually.
Honor
It is the desire of the faculty and staff of Gospel Light Christian School to honor the Lord in all of its endeavors. Whether one is learning Spanish, giving to the annual "Missions Month Offering," performing in the school play, or participating in a festive "spirit day," Gospel Light seeks to honor Christ first and foremost.
Higher Education
Gospel Light Christian School takes pride in the fact that its students do not receive a second rate education by attending a Christian school. The faculty works hard to ensure that the curriculum used is up-to-date and involves hands-on learning. High school classes range from higher maths to English/literature, along with Spanish, Bible, drama, and art, among many others. College prep classes are offered for those who desire a challenge, and a well-developed Fine Arts program is available for those who enjoy the arts. For a comprehensive list of all available classes, please contact the school office. Gospel Light also offers organizations in which one can excel aesthetically. The National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, Therapon (Community Service Club), and ENCORE (music performance group) are among the favorites at Gospel Light. There is something for everyone at Gospel Light Christian School that will help improve each person's service for the community and for Christ.
