Gospel Light Christian School would like to extend an invitation to the surrounding community to join the student body on April 2nd
to experience the third annual World Market hosted by Gospel Light. This World Market will contain international food, entertainment,
and the 25 exhibit Multi-Cultural Museum. During the month of February and March, Gospel Light has placed an emphasis on foreign countries
and exposing the needs of others. Since the 2002-2003 school year, Gospel Light has chosen a missionary to support and raise money
for during this “Missions Emphasis.” This year the Student Council and administration chose Bro. Guy and Marilyne Grenade.
Bro.
Guy and Marilyne serve in Mauritius. Mauritius is an independent state. It is situated off the east coast of Africa beyond the biggerisland of Madagascar. Presently, Bro. Guy is pasturing two different churches—The Victory Baptist and the Curepipe Baptist Church.
The Grenade’s ask that we pray that the Lord will send more laborers.
The World Market will be a multi-cultural experience. Along
with food from Mexico, Italy, China, and America, students from elementary to high school will perform songs, stories and skits depicting
scenes from around the world. The World Market will be open to the public and will start at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. Food will
be served from 11:00 am-2 pm. It will re-open again at 4:30 pm and end at 7:00 pm with food being served the entire evening.
Gospel Light Christian School and
the Quill and Scroll Society would like to welcome all who wish to attend to this multi-cultural experience. Admission will be free although
donations will be accepted at the door. All donations will go toward the Grenade family.
Attention Schools: We would love to have your school come through the World Market! It's sure to be a multi-cultural experience! This
event would be great for both elementary and high school classes--specifically Geography, Bible, and History classes! We think the
best times to bring a class would be from 10 am - 1 pm. Please call a few days ahead and "RSVP" so we can make plans for your group!
We also have a small gift for the group sponsors.
Take Advantage of our "BEST DEAL"! Buy a Food Passport for $10 and get a plate of food from each country. Drinks are not included.
